Care In Action Minnesota
Care in Action Minnesota is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on improving the quality of life for children who have experienced abuse and neglect, and preventing maltreatment. Care in Action seeks to accomplish this by providing community education and developing partnerships between faith-based communities and county Child Protection Services. Modeled after the HALOS (Helping and Lending Outreach Support) organization in Charleston, S.C., Care in Action began its efforts in Washington County, Minn. in 2005. Care in Action teams faith-based communities, individuals, civic groups and businesses with child protection case managers to provide resources for children and families who have experienced abuse and neglect.
Standpoint, formerly known as the Battered Women's Legal Advocacy Project (BWLAP), exists to serve domestic and sexual violence survivors, advocates, attorneys, and other professionals working within the justice system in the state of Minnesota. Since 1996, our organization has established a statewide reputation as a premiere legal resource.
Zero Abuse Project
Zero Abuse Project provides in-person and online training in child protection, trauma-informed practices, secondary trauma in the legal system, and related areas. Zero Abuse Project also partners with other non-profit and community organizations with similar missions to provide training and education to legal professionals and other courtroom and community stakeholders.
